Chicago Alliance of African American Photographers aka CAAAP

I am a member of the Chicago Alliance of African American Photographers, CAAAPs. Where are a group of photographers from the Chicagoland area. We meet on the third Sunday of each month at the Southside Cultural Center at 3831 s. Michigan. We gathered at the Woodson Library in preparation for an exhibit of our work which goes on display next month at the Woodson. We invite all who are interested in photographic work done on the highest level to come out and experience what we have done. What follows is a sampling of some of the meeting.

Black Creativity Exposition

The first outing of the year for me was the Black Creativity reception at the Museum of Science and Industry on Wednesday evening. The event showcased outstanding work from a number of artists, painting, photography, sculpture, you name it and it was there. Unfortunately I did not have work on display, oh well, maybe next year. In the meantime, I did manage to get a few shots of the crowd.

Hello world!
